Privacy Policy

Juniper Floral Studio is a wedding and event floral design studio based in Austin, Texas. This page explains what happens to the information you share with us through this website. It is written to be read, not to be impressive.

The short version

We collect the details you type into our inquiry form, and we use them to reply to you about your event. This site sets no tracking cookies and carries no advertising pixels. We count visits using our hosting provider's server logs — aggregate numbers like which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from, never a profile of you. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for marketing.

What we collect

When you submit the inquiry form, we receive what you enter:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number, if you provide one
• Your event date and event type
• Anything you write in the message field

If you download the look book, we receive your name, your email address, and your event date if you give one. We use it to send you the look book and to follow up about your wedding — nothing else.

We do not ask for payment details through this website, and you should never send card numbers by email or through the form.

Our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as an IP address and browser type. This is ordinary web server activity and is used to serve the site and keep it secure, not to build a profile of you.

How we use it

To answer your enquiry, prepare a proposal, and, if you go on to book with us, to plan and deliver the florals for your event. If you become a client, we keep the correspondence needed to do that work properly. We may email you about your own event. We do not add you to a marketing list.

Who else is involved

A small number of services make this website work:

• Netlify hosts the site, receives inquiry form submissions (which are forwarded to our email inbox), and produces our visitor statistics from its server logs — no script runs in your browser for this.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Your browser requests them from Google, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
• Instagram supplies the photographs in the feed at the foot of the home page. Those images load from Meta's servers, so Meta may see your IP address. We fetch the posts themselves from our own server, so Instagram is not tracking your visit here.
• Email — our inbox provider stores the messages you send us, as email providers do.

Each of these handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not give any of them information for marketing.

How long we keep it

Inquiries we do not take forward are kept for around two years, since couples often plan far ahead and come back to us. Records for events we actually work on are kept for up to seven years, which covers the business and tax records we are required to hold. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@juniperfloralstudio.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the GDPR. We are happy to honour those requests regardless of where you are.

Children

This site is intended for adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Photographs

The work shown on this site was photographed at events we designed. If you are a past client and would prefer photographs of your event not appear here, tell us and we will remove them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes affecting people who have already contacted us will be sent by email.
